The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta and Jetta GLI models have undergone significant updates to enhance their appeal in the competitive compact sedan market. Known for their combination of size, style, and value, these models continue to deliver a well-rounded package while introducing new features and refined aesthetics.
For 2025, the Volkswagen Jetta and Jetta GLI sport a refreshed exterior design that brings a modern and sophisticated look. The front end now features updated upper and lower grille designs, complemented by new LED headlights. The introduction of a light bar on the front fascia, available on the Comfortline trim with the Sport package, adds a touch of innovation to the Jetta’s face. At the rear, the models receive a new trunk lid design, complete with a light bar that connects the taillights, giving the vehicle a cohesive and elegant appearance.
The Jetta’s exterior is further enhanced by new wheel options and color choices. The Comfortline trim comes with 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, while the Highline and GLI models upgrade to 18-inch alloys. Additionally, the Jetta GLI now offers an optional Black package, providing a distinctive, sporty appearance. Two new exterior colors, Monterey Blue Pearl and Alpine Grey, have been introduced, allowing customers more options to personalize their vehicle.
Inside, the 2025 Jetta models showcase a redesigned dashboard that emphasizes a clean, modern aesthetic. A three-bar design stretches across the upper dash, seamlessly integrating with the air vents and directing attention to the new floating touchscreen infotainment display. This display, now standard across all trims, serves as the centrepiece of the cabin, enhancing both functionality and visual appeal.
Seating materials and interior décor have also been updated. The Trendline trim features Rhombus cloth seats in Titan Black with Brushed Silver accents. Comfortline models offer new perforated, two-tone Microcloud leatherette seating surfaces in combinations such as Grigio/Titan Black and Atlantic Blue/Storm Grey, paired with String Figure décor. Highline models elevate the experience with perforated Vienna leather seats available in new color combinations, while the GLI models stand out with their unique Grigio–Red Crust/Titan Black leather seating, accented by red contrast stitching and Magnum matte décor.
The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, delivering 158 horsepower. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which balances performance with fuel efficiency. The Jetta GLI, known for its performance-oriented setup, features a more powerful 2.0-litre EA888 engine, generating 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The 2025 Jetta GLI is now available with an optional Black package, which offers a distinct appearance with blacked-out exterior elements and unique styling cues. This package adds another layer of customization, appealing to buyers who want their vehicle to stand out even more.
Technology updates in the 2025 Jetta and Jetta GLI include a standard floating touchscreen infotainment system across all trims, which serves as the hub for the vehicle’s connectivity and entertainment features.
